Why Analyze Hair?

Every testing method has a unique value. Hair analysis tests minerals within cells to reveal metabolic trends in an individual.

Benefits unique to the analysis of hair:

Ø      Hair is a biopsy material that is stable, and it does not require special attention.

Ø      The levels of minerals in hair are about ten times the level of minerals in blood.

Ø      A unique cellular reading of minerals is obtained from hair. The cells are the major sites of metabolic activity, not the blood or urine.

Ø      How effectively hormones are delivering their messages at the cellular level (cellular responsiveness and receptor sensitivity indicators) may be revealed through hair analysis.

Ø      Mineral levels in hair will vary a long time before they can be revealed in blood or prior to pathology being present. Stability will be maintained in blood at all cost. An individual displaying fluctuations in their blood is typically in an advanced imbalanced state.

Ø      Hair analysis is believed to be a reliable source for revealing toxic metals in an individual. Metal toxicity is concentrated in the soft tissues, not in the urine or blood, and is not found in high amounts in the blood except immediately after acute exposure.

Hair sampling is easy and non-invasive. The analysis of the mineral levels in hair is very affordable, and has a very high rate of accuracy.

Hair Analysis & Diabetes…

So much information is obtained from such a simple, non-invasive test, HAIR ANALYSIS…Traditionally, a patient may be advised that his or her pancreas are not working efficiently, and commonly are given a prescription for a drug that reduces blood sugar levels (i.e. Metformin, Actos, Glucophage). Unfortunately, more often than not, this is as much explanation as a patient receives regarding their condition.

Hair analysis provides us with a different perspective: As a result of mineral ratios going unbalanced, blood sugar problems often develop. Diabetes is often the result of an adrenal, thyroid, pancreas, toxic metal and/or trace mineral imbalance. Hair analysis provides the information to allow intervention before serious damage is done. Hair analysis reveals where in the body the imbalance(s) is occurring, and with the help of AWBB, positive lifestyle changes, whole-food supplementation and herbs, will allow you to avoid serious health problems such as heart disease, nerve damage, amputation, and/or loss of eyesight, all which are secondary conditions to chronic high blood sugar, or diabetes.

The Process of a Hair Analysis:

This is a very easy test to do, in the office or remotely. A hair sample can contain either hair from your head or pubic hair; one or the other, please, but definitely NOT both. If the hair on your head is chemically treated, pubic hair will provide the best and most accurate results. Only about a TABLESPOON of hair will be needed to complete your hair analysis. A small envelope will be provided for you to submit your hair sample in, as well as a symptom form that you must complete, which will accompany your hair sample to the lab. Symptoms that you have experienced within the last 1 to 2 months should be indicated on the form. The results of your hair analysis should be received in approximately 2 to 3 weeks after it is submitted. More detailed instructions will be provided via e-mailed or given to you by phone prior to hair sample collection.
